Bat Mitzvah in Snow Storm
Hannah’s bat mitzvah at Temple Israel in Minneapolis, MN this past weekend during Minnesota’s “historic snowstorm” in April (April 14, 2018) brought everyone So.Much.Joy! I had a blast photographing Hannah and her family on her bat mitzvah day.
The day before, Friday night, April 13th, I planned accordingly for the big snow that was to come, by making a reservation at a hotel near by (about a mile from the temple), so I would be there early and on time. A photographer’s life is not just about taking gorgeous pictures. I am dependable! 🙂 This photographer’s motto is like the postman… neither sleet, no rain, no snow will keep me from delivering these precious photographs. 🙂
The photo above captures the joy of the day. With the signature piece of this sanctuary above. I like to include design elements of the temples in my photographs of the bar or bat mitzvah, along with the love of the family and the day.
By day’s end, I felt great that I was able to capture a whole host of beautiful photographs.. inside! While the storm was raging on the outside. Hannah and her family will always remember the warmth that filled the sanctuary and warmed our hearts on that day.
