Here is Nate at Mount Zion Temple in St. Paul, MN in a joyful moment with his Dad celebrating his bar mitzvah day. As I walked up to the bema, I asked Nate.. so I know your parsha is Re’eh, what is your d’var Torah about today? He replies.. Joy! Sure enough, in his Torah portion, there is a line: “You shall have nothing but joy!” How apropos since that is what I experienced photographing Nate, his sister Anna, his Mom and Dad and his friends and family. Complete joy! And Love and Shalom. What a great day! We were even able to go outside for some nice photos in the biblical garden and in front of the building, with those great stairs and sign.
